I think people have a pet, but they don't want a child is because educate and bring up a child cost much money and sometime a child makes people going carzy.A pet is just for fun , they think a pet can just give them happyness.
1. I think it is more difficult to bring up children than to rear pets. also, pet rarely betray their owner. and a child leave from their parents some day. but pets don't leave them until being left behind and become forever friend.
